No. CPGShield runs its implemented checks and provides supported text fixes and reports for review. It does not replace professional judgment, formula safety assessment or a retailer's decision. Use the findings to prepare questions and documents for your qualified reviewer.
Bring covered federal cosmetic labeling, state requirements, ingredient concerns, marketing claims and retailer programs into one review. Supported print-ready PDFs can also be checked for measurable artwork properties using check credits. Which checks can be completed depends on the submitted information and selected scope. Review the implemented checks and their regulation, guidance or retailer-standard references in the Rules Library; account access and individual rule unlocks apply.

Detailed findings include references to the applicable regulation, guidance or retailer standard, so you can review the basis for a check. Know what still needs attention. Every check is recorded on its own, with what happened to it: it found something, it ran and found nothing, it did not run and why, or it failed while running. A check with no record at all is treated as not run, never as a pass. When no usable ingredient list can be read from what you submit, every check that searches one is reported as not run, with the reason. Use those records to guide your next steps; a scan is not a certification of compliance.
The library brings together checks drawn from federal regulations, state laws, guidance, and published retailer standards. Each entry shows its source, when the rules were last reviewed, and whether verification is complete. A state ban that has been enacted but is not yet in force is carried as a warning rather than a blocking finding, with its effective date on the entry, because a label that contains it is legal in that state today; it becomes blocking when we update it on that date. Updates reflect requirements we have reviewed and added; the date does not mean every legal change has been captured. Some entries still need verification. A text scan cannot verify formula safety, trace contaminants, testing, facility registration, manufacturing practices or whether your claims are true. Supplied percentages support the concentration checks that use them. A supported print-ready PDF allows certain artwork measurements for one check credit; supported corrections cost one additional credit. Unsupported and unverified checks remain for review. Only covered U.S. requirements are screened.
Credits never expire, and the price you pay is locked in at purchase. Buying a credit pack does not create a subscription, a recurring charge, or an auto-renewal. A small number of accounts opened before July 2026 hold a legacy Pro subscription from a plan we no longer sell; those continue to renew on their existing schedule until canceled, self-serve, from Settings.
Your label text and scan results are stored securely, never sold, and never shared for marketing. We use trusted service providers (like Stripe for payments) to operate the product. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Unspent purchased credits are refundable within 7 days of purchase. Once a label credit permanently unlocks a label, or a check credit is spent on a completed paid tool run, that use is permanent and the credit is consumed. Contact support@cpgshield.com.
